#ArtForLoveOrlando: Fundraising for victims and their families.

Posted on Jul 9, 2016

These artworks have been donated by artists, friends old and new, in response to a call out for works around the theme of Love, in response to the killing of 50 people at the LGBT nightclub Pulse, in Orlando, last weekend.

As a member of the LGBT community (and the L, B, T and Q respectively), the news has hit us all hard. The simple freedoms that so many of us have fought for, marched for, campaigned for, suffered for, that many have died for, been beaten and abused for, the simple freedom to go out and dance in a safe LGBT community venue, is no longer a freedom.

Profits from these postcards and other artworks will be donated to the JustGiving fund set up for the families and survivors.

With immeasurable thanks to the artists who have donated, in order of work:

Zoe Howe, Bronwyn Oldham, Lesley Cartwright, Tommy Jay (age 4), Christopher Stammers, Laura Keeble,  Juliet Kilpin, Mark Bromfield, John Bulley, Toddy Peters, Birdy Rose, Pia Peters (age 9), Heather Purdham, Sharon Stone, Rob Masters, Jaye-Dean Shepherd, Marianne Murray, Richard and Bob Drake, the Ayahuasca Gazebo and Bonnie Blueman, Alfie Bradley, Tim Sinnott, Fox Fisher, Mike English, David Carrington and Marcus Peters.

We received over 100 orders when we launched ? bigger than I ever envisioned, and an incredible testimony to our compassion, common humanity and willingness to stand shoulder to shoulder with those who need support in these unimaginably devastating times.

Prices start from £3. Head to http://www.heatherandjack.bigcartel.com to order yours.
