Video Round-up

Welcome to the April Video Round-Up post and what a response there was to this one. I was inundated with so many wonderful posts of days out during Spring, that it was so hard to choose just ten to feature. Thank you, everyone, who submitted videos for consideration. It really has made writing this post a joy.

The first up is from Sweet Family Nothings with the most stunning capture of a family walk around Lake Buttermere. What a beautiful part of the country. Just breathtaking. If anyone is looking for some inspiration for a weekend away I would certainly recommend this part of the UK. Thank you so much for sharing this.

For more beautiful scenery, you must have a look at the video from Hello Deborah where she takes us on her journey to Stourhead National Trust in Wiltshire. Such a beautiful National Trust House with the most stunning grounds. In fact, the grounds were so stunning that Deborah and her family spent over seven hours wandering and didn?t even make it to the house.  That sounds like a perfect way to spend the day. The Temple of Apollo is truly breathtaking and so worth a watch of the video to see or even a visit. As some of Pride and Prejudice was filmed here I think that speaks volumes!

Continuing with the outdoors theme I?m linking a video from Linsey Leigh Vlogs of her day out with her family in Stratford Upon Avon. A beautiful capture of a stunning part of the country. The sun was shining which always makes everything look extra beautiful and the trip to the butterfly park looks great for families. The town of Stratford Upon Avon itself is somewhere I would love to spend the day photographing for definite. Such wonderful architecture.

Erin Ek Rush shows us a video of her day out in the gardens of Harlow Carr in Yorkshire. A wonderful park with a nature trail and the most fantastic tree house for the children to play in. The grounds itself are beautiful. Definitely another perfect spot to let the children run and explore. Thank you for sharing this with us, Erin.

For something the children are sure to enjoy, too, head over to have a look at Kirsty Uniterrupted?s video of their trip to The Gruffalo Trail at Wendover Woods. Kirsty downloaded the Gruffalo Spotters App prior to the walk which helped bring the characters to life for the children. Just a fantastic example of how technology can make outside fun even more exciting for children.

This next video provides footage from the incredible Jurassic Kingdom at Osterley House in West London. Mummy Travels takes us with her and her children to look at over 30 animatronic dinosaurs. It really is outstanding and so worth a watch or a visit. The tour is running until 17th October at Osterley but will be visiting other National Trusty properties around the country.

Lauren, from Dilan and Me, brings us this beautiful video of a day out at Oxburgh Hall, a National Trust property in Norfolk. The lawns are to be envied but there are also beautiful woods, ponds with swans and plenty of space to wander. The Hall itself is worth a look too. Plenty of beautiful spots for photographs! Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Lauren.

The National Trust houses were definitely popular over the last month and I can see why as this video from  DadvWorld from Chatsworth House does not disappoint. The grounds of the house, as well as the interiors, are just spectacular. What a wonderful place to spend the day!

And last, but by no means least, Mummy Mearns and 2 Single Mums share the videos of their trips to Lego Land. Always a firm favourite with the children.

Hopefully, there will be some ideas for people watching of days out with children over the coming warmer months. I know I?ve got plenty of trips I?d like to do so thank you to everyone who shared their videos. Please message me if you have a theme you?d like to see on the round-ups as I have a few ideas but always keen to hear what people would like to see.
